The 20/20 Podcast | Dr. Vi Tu Banh | Emotional Vision Healing

Dr. Vi Tu Banh is on a mission to help one billion people. That’s right, a billion.

Dr. Banh’s story could easily be the script of a Netflix documentary. From his family’s escape from Vietnam on a boat to being stranded on a deserted island and then being rescued by the people of a small town in Ontario, Vi Tu’s early years have shaped his mission in life.

“The truth shall set you free… but first, it will piss you off.” Vi Tu is not afraid to piss you off if it means achieving his goal of helping one billion people.

Can You Heal Your Visual Issues Through Your Emotions? “The Truth Shall Set You Free… But First, It’ll Piss You Off” – Dr. Vi Tu Banh

My guest is amazing in many different ways. I’m excited to have him on and share his story and what he has been doing. We have Dr. Vi Tu Banh here, who graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in ‘96. He lives and works in the City of Uxbridge, Ontario, which is important. We’re going to get into that story in a moment because his family was rescued by the people of the City of Uxbridge from a deserted island in Indonesia named Air Raya, as Vietnamese boat people. That is an incredible story alone. What Dr. Banh is up to and his mission to help 1 billion people is an amazing thing that we want to talk about.

He has a special interest in dry eye, NeuroVisual, optometry, and pediatric vision care. He has treated hundreds of patients with concussion-type symptoms since 2016 using his specialized V2 Method, which we’re going to dive into. When he is not doing all these amazing things, Dr. Banh is playing hundreds of rounds of golf every year, and he finished a round before this. We’re recording at 7:00 AM Pacific. That tells you how early he gets up to play golf. I’m excited. You’ve been telling me to get ready. I’m getting ready. I hope the people who are reading are getting ready for an amazing conversation. Thanks for being here. I appreciate it.

Thanks for having me. It’s amazing. I appreciate being on this call and the fact that you created this amazing platform. Kudos to you for getting the words out there. It takes a lot of courage, time, and effort to do this. I’m grateful that you are doing this for the greater good of the profession.

Dr. Vi Tu Banh’s Mission To Help 1 Billion People

The mission is to continue to help our profession grow and thrive. Selfishly, I learn a lot from these conversations. I’ve learned a lot from talking to you the few times we’ve spoken. I’m going to learn more again. Thank you for being here. I want to rewind to your childhood, but give me a quick summary of who you are and what you do.

I’ve been called “Buddha” for some reason. My whole life has been one miracle after another miracle. The fact I’m sitting here is a miracle that I’m talking to you. I’m tremendously grateful. I don’t even know what to start. I’m honored and grateful that I have chosen this profession to be serving the people. As you mentioned, the mission to help 1 billion people wasn’t a joke. Years ago, I learned from Wayne Dyer. I don’t know if you remember him. Have you heard of him?

I’ve heard the name.

He’s the father of motivational speaking. It’s either him or Deepak Chopra. Deepak is more of an academic type. Whatever he says, you get it. He will never forget what he says. The difference between mission and ambition. Ambition is what you go after, like the house, practice, and cars. The mission is what goes after you and won’t leave you alone. I’m more about less for more.

The 20/20 Podcast | Dr. Vi Tu Banh | Emotional Vision Healing
Emotional Vision Healing: The difference between mission and ambition is that ambition is when you go after things. Mission is what goes after you.

The billion people started in 2011. I graduated in 1996 from the University of Waterloo. Unfortunately, I was able to go to school and get the degree that most people would dream of getting. I had never dreamed that one day I would be doing this work. The miracle was I was born in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. It used to be called Saigon.

I don’t know if you remember. We may be too young to know this. Back in the ‘60s and ‘70s, there was a thing called the Vietnam War. There was a war between the North and the South, the Communists versus the Americans. By 1975, the war ended. We thought there was peace, but unfortunately, it was not peaceful because the communists took over. They have their own regime and have no set of rules. You don’t have the choice. They tell you what you do.

All of a sudden, people like my family, who had a bit of money, didn’t want to be restricted by what they told you to do. There were families who tried to escape. One of the ways to leave was by boat. Imagine this. My parents liquidated everything they had, put the little pieces of gold, and gave them to the so-called owners of the boat.

At the time, you pay anywhere from 15 to 20 pieces, depending on your age. Imagine everything you had put in the piece of gold. You give these people who own the boat, and you have no idea where you’re going to go. All you know is going to escape. Go somewhere safer and in a more free country. In April 1979, we got on a boat. I’m saying a link is a six-minute video recorded by a CBC report in 1979. It was a Canadian from Montreal whose mother was living on the same island where we spent nine months. She took this CBC report with her to find her mother and reported the whole thing.

I’d love for you to share that because I’ll put it in the show notes so people can go and watch it. I haven’t seen that myself. I’d love to watch it.

Can you imagine a 60-foot-long boat with 250 people in it? Have you been on a cruise before? Remember those tendering boats? You can’t dock. They have to take you on tendering. The tendering boat was bigger than the boat we were in. We drifted for five days. We ended up in Malaysia. They kicked us out because, at that time, it was already overcrowded. The next day, we were drifting again. Somehow, we were rescued by an American cargo ship, and they dropped us off on this island where we spent nine months. It’s called Air Reya. It’s a desert island. There’s no running water and sewage. We were fortunate enough to be rescued by the generous people of Uxbridge. That’s how I ended up in Uxbridge.

How did the people of Uxbridge save you? Was that the CBC report that got people’s attention, or was there something else?

It’s another miracle. I’m writing a book about it. The book is called Twelve Elephants and a Dragon. How that came along is another story. Long story short, in Canada in 1980, I remember leaving the island. I told my dad one day, “I’m going to write a book about this place.” That was 1980. That stuck with me for many years.

In the year 2000, I worked with a mutual friend who was a writer. I did call for an hour, explained what happened to the story, and hired her to do the book. The Twelve Elephants came about after I made this mission. I was lucky. Have you heard of this book called Think and Grow Rich? In this book, one of the principals was the mastermind. We had two good friends. They are like my brothers. He was a former college president of Ontario. Three of us met every Wednesday for several years. They call us the BAG brothers. They keep calling me Buddha. It’s B for Buddha, A for Aristotle because he is a Greek, and Arif is an Indian. We call him Gandhi.

How to be a better human being, not an optometrist? We set a goal. I said, “I achieve everything I want to achieve.” That’s the ambition part. I said, “I want to retire. I don’t want to do any more of this optometry stuff. I want to do something different.” They said, “Shut up. Go home and meditate.” I meditated. I closed my eyes for 30 seconds. That picture of 1 billion people came up. I go, “What am I doing?” I’m like, “What am I doing? I know the formula to success is Be Do Have, not Have Do Be because that’s what people are doing right now. You have to become that person first. Who do I need to be? I was faced with challenges. Stuff comes up. I went on separation for several years. S*** happens. The walls had to open after. I was fortunate in my first marriage. I was able to travel around the world. Every single continent, you name one, I’ve been through it. Have you been to the Galápagos Islands?

I have never been.

That’s where Darwin wrote The Origin of Species. I’ve been to Machu Picchu and some exotic places. I’ve seen all the churches and cathedrals in the world. All were born to three people, Buddha, Jesus Christ, and Muhammad. It is all about religion and the greater good. These are from different forms of message. I was traveling in Africa in 2013. I kept seeing little elephants in the gift shop. They were like talking to me, “Take me.”

Is there a bigger elephant than a smaller elephant holding the trunk with the tail?

I bought all of them. I said, “I got it. I’m going to be like Jesus. I’m going to find twelve people who have the same mindset and will get this magic out.” That’s how the elephant came about. Your dragon was the one who I met the writer. The next day, it will be a one-pager. She said, “This little boy who was me, the grasshopper. All of a sudden, it turns into a dragon, and we fire this story.” I said, “You are hired. That’s why I wrote the book.”

Anybody who calls you a dragon, I’ll be happy to work with them.

It’s a metaphor. I can’t retire now because I have to go back to optometry again. I kept seeing people come back every year with headaches, migraines, and vertigo. I said, “There’s something to this.” I’ve been fortunate. We keep talking about AI, but something that we have is called II, Intuitive Intelligence. That’s something nobody can take away from you.

I appreciate you going through all of your upbringing. That’s an incredible story of your childhood that I’m sure has dramatically impacted how you think and work. Let’s talk about the V2 method. Tell us how that came around.

This is the evolution of it. In 2011, there was a course called OEPF or Optometric Extension Program Foundation. It’s all about vision therapy. It’s a course called Arts and Science. I took it in 2013. It’s a four-day workshop. You go through all the theories. I couldn’t sleep for weeks. The stuff they talk about, we would never learn in school.

Where did you find this course?

There’s a website for it.

It’s not through school. It’s a separate entity.

The Four Circles Of Vision

This is one of the first concepts I learned. You heard about this.

No, I haven’t. Before we start going through that for a second, if you’re not watching on YouTube right now, make sure you go to YouTube because Dr. Banh is going to show us some images and talk through them.

The first topic I heard about is the four circles. He said, “Our vision emerged from all four things. It’s grounding or anti-gravity.” What is it? 20/20, which would be conventionally taught forever and ever. The peripheral system, which is anything besides 20/20.” There are a lot of names for this one. How do I feel anxiety? With all of these four, you get your vision. I also learn something like this. This was mapped out by a vision scientist of a monkey.

What you have is this card. On one side, you have the four circles that you described. Grounding, where am I? What is it? Where is it? That’s the periphery. How am I? How do I feel? That’s the fourth circle. All of those come together in this Venn diagram to give you a vision. If you could flip the other side, I want to see that primate.

On this side, 32 visual areas are connected by linkages. Seventy percent of the total sensory input in the brain is from the eye. Fifty percent of the brain is involved in visual processing. What we see is one of these insanely complicated networks of lines and things connecting. This is the primate cerebral cortex. Thank you very much. If you don’t get a chance, look at that.

I said, “I don’t want any more fellowship. I don’t want degrees. I don’t need more names specific to my name. The ego was done. What is the truth?” Do you know the Wright brothers who invented the airplane? They don’t have college degrees.

I’m not surprised about that.

The whole team has no college degrees.

I thought of the brothers themselves. It’s not a surprise, but the rest of the team, no.

They figured it out. It’s because of their passion to transform the world. My mission was to reach 1 billion people. My grandfather taught this to me years ago. If you are on purpose for the greater good, the universe will move mountains for you.

If your purpose serves the greater good, the universe will move mountains for you.

A quick story for everybody reading. This show was a long time in the making, but all of a sudden, I texted Vi Tu like, “We should talk about the show.” He said, “I was thinking about the same thing about contacting me to set up the show.” The timing was incredible. A lot of times, the universe does that. Within about a week, we set it up. Here we are recording. It’s cool that happened.

Do you want to hear the reason for that?

I’d love to.

They said, “Truth will set you free, but it’ll piss you off first.” I got on the phone call with a respected OD in Toronto. I won’t mention his name. He called me out on it. He said, “What are you teaching this course for? Where’s the science?” I said, “There’s this literature everywhere.” He’s like, “I’m too old. I don’t want to read it. This is a money graph.”

What you have going on is a money graph.

I said, “Have you all read it? Are you acting out of intelligence or ignorance? I thought of you, and you texted right away. What’s the first thing that this book says?

I don’t know. What’s the first thing in the title? What is it?

Are you ready for the ride? You have no idea what we’re getting into here. Thought things is the first sentence. I go, “This guy is crazy.” No, the 13th principle of success is right here. Every single book you read now is derived from this. It’s a different format. Talk about intuition. I took all the courses and all of the truths. One of the concepts says, “If your vision is stable, your vision will lead to your emotion and walking. If your motion is not stable, so is the vision.”

People start coming with all these headaches. They bring injuries. They complain about all this medication. They’ve been through all these therapies but are having this issue. One day, this woman called my office. She was sitting like this with her head. She goes, “You are going to help me.” I know what you’re talking about.

What happened was that several years before, she had been a cheerleader at a young age. During a practice run on a human pyramid, she was on the tip of the human at the pyramid. She fell and was comatose for three weeks. When she woke up, she kept saying, “What do you do?” Surgery on one of the eyes. Several months later, another surgery. A year later, she had a double vision. I said, “What happened?” She goes, “I don’t want more surgeries. That’s why I walked like this for several years to correct the double vision.”

If I were to neutralize that double vision, I could give about 20/30 based on one eye. There’s no way she’s going to walk around with that. Remember the elephants I talked about. I knew there was something about the prism. I learned that from one of my mentors. He taught us how to prescribe this prism, but he didn’t give us the secret of how to do it. Do you know what the two challenges are?

What is it?

How much and in what direction?

I thought it was a bit more complex than that.

It’s simple. I know there’s something about these prism glasses that can help her. Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing something over and over and hoping for different results.” I said, “What do I put on a pair of lenses that shifts light because that’s what prism does?” It bends light. It’s curving. Her name’s Jennifer. I said, “Let’s go outside for a walk.” I don’t have the goggles. I have it at work. I start with the base down. I get her to walk, but nothing happens. I keep turning the prism into the fourth turn. I went counterclockwise. I teach this course like this now. People understand because you have the sequence.

By the fourth turn, I swear I’m still getting goosebumps. Her head went up straight, and ran with it. I was like, “Jennifer, what has double vision gone?” She said, “What double vision?” She did it three times. It was repeatable. It’s an instant relief. She goes, “I want two of these. They’re clear and like sunglasses.” I always tell her, “Come back in four weeks. I want to make sure you’re okay.” She said, “My head is still straight. Double vision is gone.”

That was your first patient.

The Law Of Vision

This is how I was talking about the V2 technique. Nobody teaches you this sequence. They’ll tell you to do different things. The Law of Vision is if your vision is stable, so is your motion. The prism directs the motion, which directs the brain to get to different pathways. They are in different pathways. Once they renew, they don’t need them anymore. That’s called neuroplasticity.

I took it with an instructor. It’s a gut thing. It can ruin something about these lenses that can help people. I ask three questions. Tony Robbins says, “The quality of life depends on the quality of the question you ask.” I asked, “What is the quickest, most impactful, and non-invasive way to help people?” I realized the lens was the answer.

The quality of your life depends on the quality of your questions.

That’s one of the many patients for whom you’ve had a massive impact.

I will show you the guidance. He gives me permission for that. My intuition said something about this guy needing help out loud in here. His wife is sitting there. I said, “What’s wrong with his neck?” She said, “Nothing. He couldn’t look up. He couldn’t stare at the lights. It’s driving him crazy. The floor was moving.” I said, “What do you mean?” She said, “We come here to see you because I think you can help him.”

I said, “What do you mean?” She goes, “He was attacked by a cow.” I said, “Cows don’t want to attack people.” He is a farmer. A 1,500-pound female cow got angry and ran him against the wall three times. The good hospital in Toronto said he was going to die. They couldn’t figure it out. He survived, but it was a massive head injury. He lived like that for several years.

Is it a photo or a video? If you’re allowed to share it, I’ll also put that within the video here so people can go to YouTube. If you’re not going to listen to me, go check on YouTube, and I’ll describe it to you. There’s an older gentleman. How old was he roughly?

He was 68 at the time.

He’s sitting there in the chair, and his head is down. His chin is almost touching his chest.

He felt distressed. Something is wrong with this guy. He didn’t know how to express himself. He kept saying, “Doc, my eye hurts.” I do dry eye stuff. I know there’s something else going on with this guy. He had all the symptoms, like headaches, migraines, vertigo, and anxiety. He has consumed twelve pills a day for several years.” I said, “You’re not fit for this, but something tells me these goggles will help you.”

That’s why you come to the course. We will teach you. I always have these goggles when one guy is out there based down first. That’s my go-to length. Through the course, we teach you how to use this prism. We play with it like kids. As a profession, we prescribe things. We never even lived with it. How else would you prescribe these things?

We get people to walk around with their prism in the setting when we teach it. When they walk with it, they go, “This is crazy.” He put them on, and he ran out of my office. I said, “You wear my glasses.” He wouldn’t get back. He’s running out of my exam chair. He got up and walked straight out of the office. He’s got instant relief after several years.

That’s with one base down both eyes.

I did the V2 method. The V2 method satisfies the four circles. When you satisfy the four circles, they get their life back. It’s that simple.

Do you have a picture of him wearing the glasses or after?

This is before. This is after now.

It looks like he is sitting comfortably and in good posture.

I see him every few weeks. We go through this in the course because you want to make sure they’re on the right path and they’re not getting worse. He came in this time. The prism is not there. We removed the prism. Prism is training glasses.

You don’t need to wear the prism forever.

He doesn’t. He said, “I can do this now.”

How much of the V2 method can you share with us that you’re comfortable sharing? There’s a course around this. You can’t share the entire course that is worth the material. In the interest of time here, what can you tell us about? How does it work?

I’ve been playing with this. I keep seeing people open over and say, “Am I the only one doing this?” Other doctors are not doing this because we love these protocols. You follow the ABC, but I figure these are people. You can’t follow the ABC. You can’t find a way to go to where they are and take where they want to go like this man. His biggest problem is headaches. Ninety percent of people who have injuries have headaches. These glasses fix the headaches. Why? It’s because now they’re grounded. That’s the power prism.

The Power Of Prisms

The base-down prism helps get them grounded.

For him, it was base down. Everybody is different. Jennifer came in with this. She was half base left. It fixes the problem. When I was doing all this, I didn’t know what to say because I felt like I was alone. Am I the only idiot doing this with no mask glasses? We were told in school, especially from Waterloo, “Do not prescribe prisms.” We adapt to it. Have you heard of Dr. Angela Peddle?

Yes, because of you.

She’s the President of the VTC, Vision Therapy Canada. She started that whole thing in Canada. One day, this little kid came to my office. The mother said, “He was told he needed to have surgery. It’s a strap. I didn’t believe in surgery. I looked up and found the Peddle.” Dr. Peddle did these glasses, and now, he’s straight. We moved because she was in Vaughan, which is another hour from Uxbridge. If she goes to Uxbridge, she goes, “I look you up. I saw your website. You help people with concussions. Maybe you can help my child.” I go, “Okay.” I learned about this technique. With strap envelopes, we don’t patch anymore. Patching is the most destructive thing you can do for anybody.

I have heard about it and spoken to a couple of people about it. I’m guilty of still using patching. However, I try not to go on.

When you get on the phone, which one is your dominant eye?

My left eye.

When you get a chance, patch your left eye for half an hour. Do it, and let me know how you feel.

I’m going to assume I won’t feel good.

Confucius says, “When you hear it, you forget. When you see it, you remember. It’s when you do, you understand.” I can share the V2 method. You won’t do it unless you feel it. Sometimes, we do it in the course. It was interactive. I know Angela. We’re good friends. I said, “Angela, I need your help. I need to learn what you do for this kid to find.” Monday morning, I went to her office. She told me what she did in three minutes. That’s that quick. We used the Retinoscopy method. Through the red reflex, you can tell what the brain is doing. You prescribe based on the reflexes, not based on the patching.

Give me an example. The reason we do patching is we’re covering the good eyes. We’re forcing the weaker eye to work.

Why didn’t you change your mindset? The eyes are not the end problem. It’s the brain level.

What would you do instead of patching to force that? Whether it’s a refractive amblyopia or a strabismus, what are we doing to get that weaker eye to activate?

We do the red technique. When you get the bright spot, the white spot is when the brain is active. Let’s say you cycle somebody’s eye. If you prescribe that, you are going to kill them. You put down the brain.

We’re going to need more time because there are a few people who have spoken to me like yourself, and I respect them. I’m saying this when looking up to my colleagues in this capacity, who have all said the same thing, whether you guys have specifically trained together and taken the same courses. I don’t know. All I know is there are people that I like, respect, and trust who have said the same thing about the cyclo, patching, and similar things about the prism discussion I haven’t had as deep.

These are people that I would stake my career on. That’s how much I respect them. I am surprised at the way that the discussion is different when I speak to you and a few of these other people. It’s that different from what we’ve been taught and what we’ve been practicing. The way I’m practicing, I’m not alone. I would imagine the majority of practitioners and optometrists. What’s going on here? I don’t understand.

We’re not looking at the right thing. We’re looking at the symptoms. We’re not looking at the root cause. I told you the criteria was the quickest, most impactful, and non-invasive way to help people. Patching is invasive. Kids become bullied because of patching. What happens? Look at them becoming depressed and anxious. Do yourself a favor. Patch for half an hour. Trust me on that. Do it and go all outside with it.

Let’s say you have a hyperope. You do a cyclo, and dry red is a plus two, but if you do a wet, it’s a plus five. We’re taught to give the whole plus five.

That’s crazy. I’m taking several years of BV experience into short. If people have peanut butter and have an allergic reaction, what do you give them? EpiPen. You save a life. Prism is doing the same thing.

Prism in the EpiPen of the eyes.

No, for the brain. That farmer ran into my office. That’s an EpiPen for his brain. He wore them for several months. He’s found his new pathway. I didn’t have a problem with it. I’m closing on 950 cases now.

It’s almost 1,000 people.

I have it all on my computer. You can come and look at it. I want to make people better.

You told me multiple times to get ready for the ride. I’m ready. I’m buckled in. I’m excited. I’m going to take your course. I already told you this whenever the next time it’s available.

I’ll see the information at Paul’s office on the last weekend of April 2024.

I’ve been to zero BV my whole career. I might throw around a little bit of prism. I’ve been getting intrigued by these conversations. Funny enough, the episode that is being released before this one is with Paul. All of a sudden, I’m doing back-to-back VT-related neuro optometry-related episodes. I’m intrigued, and I can’t wait to learn more.

The course came about from what I learned from her. I said to her, “I’m doing this prism thing.” She goes, “I don’t do it this way because they have their own little thing.” I say, “People need to hear this. It cannot be a secret anymore.” That’s how it came about.

I don’t want to end quickly, but in the interest of time, there are two things I want to end with. One is, can you give some advice to people like optometrists like myself who are in the early stages or not doing a lot of BV at all? The second thing that I want to make sure of is we talk a bit about the course and where people can learn a bit more about it.

There’s a whole website that explains what VT is about. The other one is OEPF. There’s COVD in the US. There are a lot of these colleges called entities or institutions. When I went back, I said, “I don’t want my degrees. I want to know how to help people. I want to choose that.” This is why I came up with a V2 method. Do you know what V2 stands for? V is vision. The Nike victory sign is a Greek letter for victory.

I didn’t know that.

I told you to get ready for the ride. Don’t take it personally.

I’m learning from Buddha here. How can I take it personally?

Do you know what two stands for? It takes two to succeed, especially with empowering words. What I discovered in the past few years in the world of concussions is that it’s a dark industry. There are people that I call parasites because they know people suffer. They come back for more because of insurance coverage.

Empowering people is all I’m about. I wish I could give everybody free glasses, but if you give them free glasses, it is human nature. They won’t wear it. If you try minimum, at least all I do is charge a small percentage of it. The return is unbelievable. I had a guy who drove all the way from Niagara Falls, which is two hours. Two and a half hours of traffic from Niagara Falls to see me. Do you know why?

In 2023, he had a minus stroke. The local OD and the MD say, “You’re not driving forever. You’re done. He’s only 52. He’s depressed. He’s a restaurant owner. Out of the blue, he receives a referral from Niagara Falls Casino. He came to see me because he had conjunction symptoms. It is an injury to the brain. Internal. I said, “Let’s help get your symptoms back to normal first.”

One base down is something called syntonic, which we’ll talk about in the course. Within several weeks, he did the visual field, and he got his license back. It’s a true story. It’s all documented on my computer. He goes, “You saved my life. I don’t care where you work. I’ll come to see you.” He was told you’re never going to drive ever forever. Could it be the prism that woke up his brain? I don’t know. The answer is it worked.

Skepticism And The V2 Method

I’m skeptical. Let’s be honest here. There’s going to be others out there reading who are skeptical. The OD that you spoke with was skeptical. If you say it was the prism or syntonics, that adds to the skepticism, right? It’s like there’s an area of misunderstanding or not understanding.

I’ll take it back. On this planet, only 2% is visible. Do you agree or disagree?

Only 2% of what is on this planet is visible to the naked eye. It depends on how you define it. We know that there are billions and trillions of little bacteria that we can’t see. Technically, in that sense, yes.

Can you see the air? You are breathing oxygen. Can you see what’s going on with this thing? It goes to the core of the Earth. We’re paying for it.

Yes, as far as the wireless data, 5G, and all that.

There are certain things that there are no answers to. People are asking about scientific proof. How do you do a test on a human being? You’re not robots. You can’t because of emotion. That’s how I feel.

Vi Tu, do you know where I’m coming from? My angle here is that I respect you a lot, and I am intrigued by all of this, but I’m skeptical, and there are lots of them out there. There was a video that went viral on social media. This lady was claiming that optometrists are frauds because we give people glasses. You don’t need glasses because your vision comes from your emotions. If you can train your brain, you can get rid of your glasses. That went viral in various ways. Some people were all for it. They’re like, “I believe you.” Most eye care people were like, “This woman is crazy. That’s nuts. Please go and see your optometrist.” Some of what you’re saying sounds like what she was saying.

I took several years to learn all these courses. Finally, I came up with the technique. People come to my office. I tell them right out they are going to help you. I tell them right out based on what I can see. It’s about the observation of what people do.

There’s something you’re doing right. You’ve helped almost 1,000 people. You’ve helped people who have these debilitating issues. Something is working. Part of it is the belief. We have to have the belief. Not everything in the world is visible. We understand that there are certain powers that may be beyond our understanding. It sounds like you’re onto something there.

It is not going to help everybody because otherwise, we’ll be sitting here. I have a slide on my top. In all the 900 cases, most of them were external injuries like concussions. Some of them are internal, like chemo brains. People have chemotherapy. The prism glasses fix the problem. They feel foggy, but they’re not grounded. It’s the grounding.

What does the word grounding mean?

It’s being on the boat if you’re not grounded.

The Importance Of Grounding

You feel more planted. You feel like you can feel the ground more.

I’ll show you another 32-second video, which we’ll go through in the course. It’s hard to explain over a Zoom call like this. One of the tests we use is called Cuda, or balance test, to determine how he’s falling. He’s falling. This guy was in a car accident for several years. When he came to me, he said, “Doc, you are the last guy I want to see.” It turned out to be a suicidal statement. He went to three years of therapy. His car went into the ditch and rolled over a few times because somebody hit him from behind. I’m not saying they’re bad people. I’m saying we’re not fixing the real problem, which is an issue. This is the way after. He had these prism goggles on.

Is this immediately after we put this prism? He’s standing there. He is like in a marching band. He’s going up and down.

You should hear what he says.

He’s like, “I can feel stable.” That’s incredible.

To see is to believe. I block off people who have brain injuries. I have 4 or 5 people. They come from all over the place. I can’t do it alone. I want my colleagues to do this. You are right about that viral thing. There’s always the extreme. We’re talking about the people in the middle here. 80% to 90% of people that we can help with these simple lenses. They’re not simple, but they work. The more I see people now, the more they can do it in two minutes to know what it is. It’s that quick.

With the amount of experience you have, that makes sense.

I didn’t know that may come in his head. He did because I can feel this guy needs help. I can’t explain that part. You’ve done this many times. How many episodes have you done now?

It’s over 150.

For you, it’s like breathing. This is my first recording session. I don’t get more comfortable. I’m doing it now because I’m speaking my truth.

I hate to cut this short because we could record for hours. We certainly will come back and do another episode, Vi Tu. I’m going to do the course. We’ll record some stuff around that. We’ll figure it out. For now, I wanted to give people a taste of what’s happening here. Where can people find more information about the course? Is there a website or something they can go to?

We don’t have a website. We started last January 2023. That was the first meeting with Angela. We did one course in Toronto, and people were excited. We did two courses in Halifax. We went back to Toronto and did two more. We went to Seattle. Within the whole year, we did six of them. Paul’s office is in Kelowna. Guess where we’re going in two days?

Where’s that?

Australia. It’s packed. We have 41 people signed up for it. The universe is moving mountains for us. In North Bay, that’s October 2024. In November 2024, we have another one. There’s no website. We are going to pitch and go. I’ll send you the information for Kelowna. You can pass it around for us.

There’s not any link I can share with anyone. We’ll try to keep sharing the information. I’m looking out for the next time you come to Kelowna. I’ll try to be there. I will be there. I’ll make sure I share everything at that time.

We have the power. It’s simple to do. It is sad that we are stopping it. That takes my philosophy of prescribing. It’s fire, aim, and fine-tune. I gave that guy who was falling all over the place a half-face right. He came back and was like, “This is great.” When they come back to that problem, I fix that with a prism.

You had the intuition to know half-base right versus left or upper down.

The technique says, “When you walk, you can tell which one is fast.” I’m comfortable teaching the course. The second one is don’t OD yourself. We are over OD-ing ourselves because we analyze everything, which is good because it’s for the greater good, but you have to stop somewhere. Love and allow. There’s some of the money.

That man calls me a wizard. It’s nothing to do with me. He came to the right place at the right time. I’m not a wizard. You can’t because he listens to his wife. His wife can tell about forever to come. A lot of people have given up. They thought there was no help. They’ve been told by the specialist, “Sorry, I can’t do anything for you.” What I tell them is this, “When you do a scan in your brain, your hardware is perfectly fine, but your software is not. Through your eyes, you can rewrite your own software.” That’s why we need to show up with this thing. The last one is to do it. That’s my philosophy.

Emotional Vision Healing: Your eyes can rewrite your brain’s software.

I can see why people call you Buddha.

I want to thank you because you are the next step for this to go for the optometry work to pass on.

We’re going to do it.

You should be proud of yourself for sticking your neck out and getting this message out.

I might get some people messaging me telling me that I’m leaning into some false practices. Let’s see how it goes.

This is why you need to come to the course and feel it. I can spend hours on this testimonial. You can look at my website. You’ll see it.

What’s your website?

Uxbridge Optometry will give you the link. If you google Uxbridge Optometry, you will be taken to the website.

Look for Dr. Vi Tu Banh and see what he’s up to there. Vi Tu, thank you so much. This was incredible. There are a million other things we can talk about.

One more quick story, Harbir. This man had a stroke for several years. Half his body could not move. I asked people what the headaches were on a scale of 1 to 10. He didn’t know he was eleven. If you keep asking him, he’ll punch you. I’m serious. He was back to stress. I couldn’t do it to him. I did the V2 method. I said, “Let’s go outside for a walk.”

I kept turning the dials by the third one, which is based up. He’s 6’2”. His wife is about 4’9”. He looks at him, and he goes, “This feels weird, but I like it. I said, “Love and allow.” I half and neutralize the lens. I put half more to it based on you. In several weeks, the headache is gone. The reviews are on my website. Looked at it. You can tell how about woo-woo, whatever it is there is. It’s impossible to prove scientifically, but it’s a science because it’s adding light. That’s all it is.

In that sense, we understand how prism works.

I do it because I know it helps people.

Thank you very much. I’m excited to share this episode. We’ll share those pictures and the videos. If you were reading and you’re not on YouTube, please go back and watch those, see the photos that Vi Tu is showing, or watch the clips. Thanks, I appreciate this, Vi Tu.

Any OD can do that. You don’t have to have VT. The people that came to our courses, the one zero VT that took off with it because you have no attachment.

I hope more of us can look into this and get into this. I look forward to providing my insight once I’ve taken the course.

Thank you for being the instrument of this. I appreciate it.

It’s been a pleasure to get to know you. I’m looking forward to seeing you more. Thank you to everybody reading. I will see you guys in the next episode.

Thank you.
